Maintenance of machinery-related things is necessary. The combined working quality of the screw and barrel has an important impact on the plasticization of materials, product quality and production efficiency. Their working quality is related to the manufacturing accuracy and assembly clearance of the barrel screw. When the screw barrel is severely worn and the output of plastic machinery decreases, maintenance of the screw and barrel should be arranged. Today I will tell you about several maintenance methods of screw barrel.
If the machine is shut down for more than half an hour each time, [sensitive word] close the blanking port, clean the material inside the barrel, and set up heat preservation.
Avoid screw idling, slipping and other phenomena.
Avoid mixing POM and PVC into the barrel at the same time, as they will react at the melting temperature and cause serious industrial accidents.
When using new plastic, the remaining material in the barrel should be cleaned. When using POM, PVC, PA+GF and other materials, try to reduce the degradation of raw materials, and rinse them with ABS and other nozzle materials in time after shutdown.
When the temperature of the molten plastic is normal but black spots or discoloration are constantly found in the molten plastic, you should check whether the rubber screw check ring seat (apron ring, meson) is damaged.
Do not start the machine when the barrel has not reached the preset temperature. New electric heating generally requires that the temperature reaches the set value for 30 minutes before operating the screw.
When using anti-salivation, make sure the plastic in the barrel is completely melted to avoid damaging the transmission system parts when the screw retreats.
Prevent foreign matter from falling into the barrel and damaging the screw and barrel. Prevent metal fragments and debris from falling into the hopper. If recycling materials are processed, a magnetic hopper must be added to prevent iron filings, etc. from entering the barrel.
After removing the screw from the screw barrel, use a cloth roll to clean the barrel while the barrel is still warm and the material and other residues are soft. Use light to check the inner wall of the barrel for abnormal scratches and scratches. Measure the change in the inner diameter of the barrel, and compare it with the inner diameter of the barrel when it is not in use and before this use to determine the wear and tear. Then check other parts of the barrel for damage. After cleaning the screw barrel, apply oil to prevent rust.
After cleaning or replacing the rubber head, remove the head and burn it with fire to completely burn off the remaining material on the rubber head.
When using new plastic, the remaining material in the screw barrel should be cleaned. When using POM, PVC and other materials, try to reduce the degradation of raw materials, and promptly rinse them with ABS and other nozzle materials after shutdown.
To disassemble the screw, you can generally push out the screw from the rear or use a special tool to pull out the screw.
After the screw and the parts connected to it are cleaned, each working surface should be checked for scratches and friction damage. If there are slight scratches, use fine emery cloth or oilstone to repair them.
When the working surface of the screw is severely worn and the scar groove is deep, the cause of the damage should be analyzed and identified, the fault should be eliminated to avoid similar phenomena from happening again, and then the wear scars should be treated. If the screw and barrel are severely worn, you should first check the actual matching gap between the two parts. If it exceeds the standard by a large amount, the screw should be replaced at this time.
When assembling the screw, the joint surface with other parts should be coated with a layer of molybdenum disulfide heat-resistant grease to facilitate next disassembly.
Screws that are not used temporarily should be coated with a layer of protective oil after surface cleaning, wrapped and hung in a dry and ventilated place.
The screw should be made of alloy steel that is wear-resistant and has little deformation when working in a high-temperature environment. The working surface of the screw after finishing should be wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, so the threaded part of the screw should be nitrided and plated with a hard chromium layer, with a hardness of HV940-1100.
